A Patriot’s view of the history and direction of our Country

                                          Internationalism

                                 Our Sovereign Country Under Attack
It is often said that we are now in a world economy and our

Country has to accept that. I beg to disagree with both parts of that
statement. The former part implies that a world economy has

happened in recent history (I’ll give one-hundred years or less as
recent). However, for centuries the world was explored and

discoveries made for expansion and economic trade. Hence, we
have been in a world economy since before the non-native

discovery and exploration of this continent, beginning with the
historical accounts of Christopher Columbus and his voyages; the

third in 1498 landing in the lower North America continent. There is
evidence that the Vikings landed on the upper North America

continent one-thousand years before. As to the latter, the only
thing our Country has to accept is that we are a sovereign nation

and do not seek to create an empire; or at least historically we have
not. There is circumstantial evidence of empire building, beginning

with each of the sovereign states, taking place right now. Treaties
and international laws are made for the same reason domestic laws

and interstate compacts are made – humans, and by extension their
countries – need the guidance of law to behave and treaties to get

along. The world is not a utopia, as communism would have their
victims believe, there are international bullies and international

superpowers. Our Country is not the former, and some are

questioning the latter. The first pilgrims recognized this with the
need and drafting of the Mayflower Compact.
