               of taxation without representation by oppression as subjects

               of England heightened.  Conference committees were
               formed throughout the colonies, which for the first time

               began uniting the colonies against the oppression of
               England.




























              The Tea Act of 1773 – This act further taxed tea, and was

               specific to save the East India Company (of England) from

               bankruptcy.  It allowed for the reimbursement of duties paid
               by the company for tea imported by the colonies.  This
               allowed the company to price tea below market, to the

               disadvantage of other tea imports by the colonists –

               impacting their business and trade ventures.  Enacted in
               May, several months later on December 16th 1773, Samuel

               Adams organized the ‘Sons of Liberty’ from several
               Bostonians to dress up as native Indians to board ships with
