Inflammation

To do this, the body sends immune cells into the

damaged area to eat the bacteria and damaged

tissue and clean it up. At the same time, the body

makes the nerves in the local area more sensitive so

that you feel pain. As stated previously, this is to

get you to not use that area as much because it is

now weaker due to the damaged tissue. The body

needs time to build the tissue back up to full

strength.
