1.1 Not-for-profit

A not-for-profit entity is one that does not carry on its activities for the
purposes of profit or gain to particular persons and does not distribute
its profits or assets to particular persons.

1.2 Assessing performance

It can be difficult to monitor and evaluate the success of a not-for-profit organisation.

The success of the organisation should be measured against key indicators that
reflect the visions and values of the organisation.
