Determine WHO is liable to pay the dividends tax in respect
of the following dividends to SARS as well as the DATE on
which the dividends tax has to be paid:
1. FinCon (Pty) Ltd distributed shares that it held as an
investment to its shareholders on 1 May 2013. The market
value of the shares was R500 000 on 1 May 2013. FinCon
(Pty) Ltd’s shareholders are all natural persons and residents
in South Africa.
