                    Subject: New ideas for FNG

                    Hi Den

Hope things are all OK with you pal. I see Rovers lost again last night. I reckon they’d struggle to
beat an egg at the moment!

The main reason I’m writing is that I’ve just been reading our competitor Nuncia’s latest annual
report. Their financial results are pretty poor, but I felt that the overall annual report document
was quite impressive for two reasons.

First, they’ve included a sustainability report using the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI’s) G4
guidelines, which gives a really positive impression of the company’s corporate social
                    responsibility achievements.

Also, they’ve presented a set of objectives and targets in the report, using the headings of the
Balanced Scorecard. I was telling you last week that I thought it was about time we looked at
FNG’s KPIs to make sure they are all still suitable. I reckon the Balanced Scorecard approach might
be something we could use to improve things.

I’ll bring this copy of Nuncia’s annual report to show you early next week, and then we can discuss
the possibility of applying these ideas to FNG too.
