We have been asked to prepare some background information to explain the value chain and how
its application could assist Crowncare to understand our internal activities before the next board
meeting.

Can you prepare a report to explain the value chain and how its application might help in making
decisions about internal activities?

In addition you might want to consider an explanation of outsourcing and insourcing and how the
value chain could help, should we need to consider this further.

Prepare the work that the Finance Director has requested. (Time 45 minutes)
