UPDATE
It’s Monday morning, you’re aching all over after trying a new class at the gym last night, when
Paul Pau calls and it appears he means business.

TRIGGER

“I’m afraid I don’t have time to chat.

I have two things I need your help on.

I have just heard on the radio about a data security issue at one of our competitors, Funfitt, and
that they should’ve been using ERM to help manage that risk. I know the rest of the Board are
going to ask me about this in more detail.

Firstly, how would Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) help to provide an effective approach to
prevent this type of incident occurring at Vita?

Secondly, please take a look at the email I have sent you from Bob Flint - could you draft a
response to his questions? They are fairly self-explanatory, but Bob likes to make sure he
understands what’s going on at Vita.

I need them both within the hour, so I can respond to Bob and review the ERM work before our
Board meeting this afternoon.”
