Teacher’s participation in USA
Embassy Workshop was a
success!

Last February 21 , 22 and 23 , some Plantel Azteca English Teachers were invited

to a workshop held by the USA Embassy. The workshop, which was about MUN
(Model United Nations) took place in the Benjamin Franklin Library.
Plantel Azteca Teachers attended to it, among other teachers from different
institutions such as Colegio de Ciencias y Humanidades and Tec de Monterrey, from
different campuses all around Mexico.
“All the teachers from Tec de Monterrey
have a lot of experience participating in
this kind of projects and some of them
shared with us some tips, ideas, ways to
work and experiences they have
acquired throughout the years” stated
Teacher Miriam Romero when she was
asked about her opinion about the
workshop.
The three-day-long workshop was
headed by Amierah Ismail, a United
Nations officer responsible of
humanitarian affairs all around the
world. Ismail explained the way MUN
English Academy Team, Carlos Ramos, USA operates as well as information sources.

A drill about “Human rights of refugees in
Yemen” was performed during the final day of the workshop, in which the teachers
were actively involved.
“It was an amazing experience for all of us, no one had participated in a workshop like
this, we learned a lot of thing about Model United Nations, now, we are prepared to
help AZTECMUN in Plantel Azteca” said the English Coordinator, Gabriela Argándar.
