The Doha Chapter (The “Chapter”) of the Institute of
Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducted
a seminar on the topic “Internal Controls over
Financial Reporting (ICOFR) as per Qatar Financial
Market Authority (QFMA)” on 26th May 2019 at
Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park.

Delivering the seminar CA George Abraham
explained the meaning of Internal Controls, its
underlying responsibilities and compliance with
QFMA Requirements. He stressed on the fact that
each and every one in an organization is responsible
for the controls and detailed the methodology to
ICOFR in an hour-long session.
