ICAI Doha chapter organized, one of its flagship events on “Union Budget 2019/20 - An Expert Analysis”.
The key-note speaker was an eminent Civil Servant - CA Praveen Garg, IAS (MP cadre - 1988 batch)
who apart from analyzing budget in an engaging & interactive manner, also elaborated on how it aims at
translating the govt’s vision into reality. He shared his own experience & emphasized that being a CA helped
him discharge his functions more efficiently in Civil Services.
His Excellency P. Kumaran - Ambassador of India to Qatar graced the evening as the Chief Guest. In his
thoughtful address, he lauded govt’s initiatives especially - Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, Measures to bring
the Financial Inclusion & renewed focus to advance the infrastructure network. CA (Dr.) R. Seetharaman -
Group CEO, Doha Bank also shared his views on the Indian Budget.
