The club – A place where everyone belongs! It’s a dark
Tuesday night in the depths of Autumn, and the strains of the
Champions League music echoes throughout houses the
length and breadth of Kilkenny.
The big matches mean one thing for the next generation of
avid sports fans: the chance to watch their heroes and dream
of becoming the next Leo Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo – two
stars who now share elbow room with Kilkenny’s own Seanie
Maguire after his recent leap into the stratosphere of
superstardom.
The mention of Maguire is an apt one. While he is currently on
a high after finally realising his dream of becoming a senior
international player with the Republic of Ireland, those
aspirations have their roots right here in the Kilkenny & District
League.
