INTEGRATED ARCHITECTURE PROJECT EXPERIENCE

DOLESE BLOCK PLANT | OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

The Dolese Block Plant in Southwest Oklahoma City produces all the block sold by Dolese. This plant is con-
tinually processing concrete block in numerous shapes, colors, and styles.
Dolese wanted to implement new technology in its concrete block production and therefore needed a new
facility to house the new processes. The additon designed and constructed in 2010 is a reflection in style of
the existing plant and is attached to the north side of the original block plant. The interior of the plant func-
tions much differently although the look and scale of the building was designed to look cohesive. In the new
facility there is much more control by a computerized system that helps produce a standardized product that
can also be custom designed for any client. The drying of the block is now a much more controlled process
and allows more flexibility in the amount of block that can be dried at one time.

The exterior of the plant is a display of the different styles, colors, and shapes of blocks that can be produced
by Dolese. They are very proud of the fact that the building is made out of the same product that is pro-
duced in it and a great amount of attention was paid to the detailing of the different block used.
Dolese is all about quality and customer satisfaction and those are two of the reasons we enjoyed working
with them on this project. This project was pursued, designed, and produced by the founding partners of
Integrated Architecture while under employment at Crafton Tull Sparks.
