7) An innovative method of analyzing the alertness of Loco Pilots is being carried
out since September-2018. Daily about 20 locos VCD data is being checked.

8) As an innovative system to find out the poor engineman ship staff among the
LP(S) and to avoid yard derailments and occurrences, the system of analyzing
SPM charts of the LP(S) has been introduced to ensure the adherence of yard
speed and working procedure by LP(S).

9) Personal interaction with running staff by Power officers is being carried out and
every Individual is being counseled on the safety and preventive measures to
avert accidents over railways in train operations.

10) 49 Safety seminars/Safety meetings were conducted upto January-21 on online
in Zoom/CISCO Webex platforms to appraise the Running staff on safety in Train
Operations and COVID-19 precautions.

12) Special focus is being done in counseling the staff on:
i. Crew should not deviate from their driving duties.
ii. They should follow Signal and only signal aspect and not to presume the
signals.
iii. They should always keep their train well under control according to the
signal aspect.
iv. ALP to apply emergency brakes without hesitation, in case LP is not
attentive or active in controlling the train according to the slgnal aspects
and when approaching Danger.

3.0 Transformation to combat with COVID-19:
I. At Crew lobbies and Running rooms.
• As per the Instructions from HQrs Freight trains, Shramik specials and
Employees special trains had been operated to meet the transportation of

goods and Employees/Shramik.
• All the instructions issued timely from HQrs have been conveyed to all the
Running staff in regard to the booking of trains, procedure to be followed
while reporting Sign ON duty and Sign Off duty is strictly followed.
