2. Both strains BTS and BSJ obtained by us were cultivated forming small, S shaped
and viscous colonies and they are non-motile, resistant to antibiotics including
сolistin, polymixin B and utilized nitrogen as energy source, which demosntrated
the are identical to causative agent of equine glanders B.mallei.
3. Nucleotide sequence of Bma-IS407-flip gene of both standard strain and BSJ
obtained were determined. Sequences of these genes were have 100% homology
to gene sequences of strains Burkholderia mallei 2002721276 and Burkholderia
mallei ATCC23344, kept in international Genebank.
