As time passes, some articles relate it. The country faces the peak of the pandemic and

right now shows the darkest facets of this disease. According to (The billionaire
transmilenium crisis, 2020), the measure of limiting the maximum occupation of mass
transportation systems to 35% in the seven cities where they operate, opens a gap of $

1.8 billion. Mass transit operates with all its installed capacity but can only transport a
small part of its passengers. The problem can derive from several very risky situations: in
many cities, due to the crisis and
the risk of being on public
transport, they require mobility,

and we can see that informality
and illegality are increasing, that
they do not respect security
protocols. In another context we

have the cities that are evident in
the large traffic jams by private
vehicles may be a solution, but
they are not favorable.

CURRENT PANORAMA

Clearly we have large losses in all situations in the country, but we have noticed it more in
large cities and knowing that we are at the highest peak of the year in the course of the
pandemic. We can know according to, (The billionaire transmilenio crisis, 2020), the
national government had to launch a life preserver to the cities with mass transportation

systems, through credit lines through Findeter. It is a direct line of credit from Findeter and
without intermediation from the financial system, which guarantees a very cheap interest
rate in real terms. However, the credit to these seven cities only covers around $ 700
billion, which means that there will be a deficit of $ 1.6 trillion and the cities have to think

about how they are going to cover it.
