As reported by (DANE, 2020) in its publication for
the month of June of this year, an unemployment
rate of 19.8% was presented, this is a huge
increase if we compare it with the 9.4% that
occurred in the same period of 2019.
Unfortunately, this increase in unemployment
occurs in the lower strata of Colombia, where
families made up of up to 5 people and whose
economic capacity was sustained by the two
parents who unfortunately lost their jobs, in these
times of pandemic did not there are those who
support the basic needs in these homes.
In Colombia there is 46.8% according to the
latest figures from (DANE, 2020) in its article on
Informal employment and social security published in the month of May, of people who do
not have a formal job and must resort to informal occupations such as It is the street
sales, this union was totally affected since it is not possible to continue with their livelihood
without risking being one more figure in these moments of pandemic and the only thing
that awaits them is to receive government aid to manage to keep it that way your families.
Now all of Colombia has its faith in the scientists who are in search of the vaccine in order
to reestablish their businesses and the functioning of the economy again, only in this way
can work begin to decrease the unemployment rate.
