Farm side visits are becoming a popular tourist and excursion activity. The
Ministry of Agriculture also has an encouraging standpoint in this front. Mr
Srinivas Iyer and Mrs Laxmi Iyer are working professionals in the IT Sector.
They are part of the senior management lobby and are residents of
Hyderabad. They took up the idea to invest on a farm and keep farming as a
side time activity. They therefore buy 2 acres of land of established farm
which includes poultry, basic cropping, biogas plant, and rest houses for
tourism. Every weekend they are on the visits and have started set of
activities that engage in free workshops for newbies who wish to learn
different type of organic farming, activities that include milking the cow,
bathing the buffalo etc. These kinds of activities are taken up with enthusiasm
from different parts of the corporate sector where they come in groups and
