Larry Panatera
VP & Information Officer
Biography
Since 2004 Larry Panatera has been the Vice-President and Information Officer for Kaiser-Permanente in GA. Larry is responsible for aligning Kaiser Permanente’s IT Strategy with the GA Region’s Business Strategy. He is accountable for all IT activity in the Georgia region and has additional responsibilities for Medical Imaging Informatics.
Larry has over 30 years in Information technology. He joined Kaiser Permanente in 2004 after being the CEO and President of his own technology company in Atlanta. Prior to owning and operating his own company, Larry was VP-CIO at Bellsouth Telephone where he had responsibilities for over 4,500 employees and $2.5B in IT investments. He was the VP-CIO at Snap-On Tools, Inc. Additionally, he has worked in leadership roles for companies such as Pepsi, Marriott, and KFC Domestic and International.
As someone who believes in giving back to the community in which he lives, Larry currently is serving on the advisory board for Keep Cobb Beautiful, the advisory board for Families First and on the board of Year-Up.
CDTS-Georgia is responsible for delivering the IT services and solutions that enable clinicians in Georgia to deliver high-quality affordable care to its 285,000 members and the communities we serve.
CDTS-Georgia has three business partner facing teams: the Business Services Group (BSG), Systems Training and Publications(STP) and KP HealthConnect®.
Over 24,000 children receive care through Kaiser Permanente Georgia Medicaid programs. Also the GA region holds the “highest member satisfaction among commercial health plans in the South Atlantic Region” (J.D.Power).
