Donna Scannell
VP & Information Officer
Biography
Donna Scannell is vice president and information officer representing the Hawaii region and has enterprise responsibility for KP’s lab systems within the CDTS organization in KP IT.
Donna is an accomplished IT executive with over twenty years of experience building technology solutions in the healthcare, insurance, retail and education industries. She is an expert in leading multi-discipline teams to plan, develop and implement complex solutions to meet business and clinical needs including successful implementations of an electronic medical record system, email and groupware services, and data warehouse. She has deep and proven experience balancing multi- million dollar budgets through excellent planning, forecasting, budgeting and resource management. In 2014, Donna graduated from the 2014 Executive Leadership Program (ELP).
Outside of KP, Donna is married with two grown daughters. She and her husband recently relocated to Honolulu, and both enjoy the outdoors, spending their free time hiking and enjoying all the state of Hawaii has to offer.
CDTS-HI is responsible for the delivery of information technology to ~250,000 KP members in Hawaii as well as 422 physicians, ~1960 nurses, and ~4501 employees spanning a hospital, 27 medical office buildings, and other outpatient facilities across the region.
CDTS-HI provides strategic planning and execution of business initiatives, spread of national capabilities, and optimization of IT infrastructure across the region which includes the islands of Kauai, Hawaii, Maui, and Oahu.
