Dr. Mike Willis
VP & Information Officer
Biography
Dr. Michael O. Willis is an internationally recognized business executive and management consultant with over 30 years of experience helping organizations plan and achieve their strategic objectives. Over these three decades he has developed a reputation as a results oriented leader and a strategic thinker with a primary focus on the Healthcare Industry. He currently serves as Vice President and Information Officer, CDTS- MAS, at Kaiser Permanente.
Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Amerihealth Mercy and Executive Vice President and Senior Fellow for Henry Consulting. He has held senior management positions with both IBM and EDS where he had global operational responsibility for technology and consulting services with a particular emphasis on healthcare and the life sciences. He has consulted and lectured on strategic technology planning, leadership development, large scale business transformation, and organizational effectiveness for both government and industry globally.
His expertise was further strengthened when he was selected to work with Dr. Stephen Covey and The Franklin Covey organization as Executive Vice President where he had operational responsibilities in 44 countries worldwide.
Dr. Willis is a noted conference speaker and is well grounded in the academic community. He has focused a significant portion of his research and business career on improving the diffusion and adoption of technology in healthcare with an emphasis on underserved communities. He holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Business Administration and Management.
The Care Delivery Technology Services (CDTS) MAS team serves the Mid-Atlantic States Region which includes Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia. We provide strategic planning and execution of business initiatives, spread of national capabilities, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
