Objective: Linking Harriet the Cow with her starting shape
Lesson Plan:
With all the children sitting on the carpet in front of the teacher. Position the starting shapes for the cow and pig where they are visible to the children

Hold up a picture of Harriet the Cow.
“What can we remember about Harriet the Cow?”
Allow the children to answer, “she is tall and straight.”
“Yes, that is right. Harriet the Cow is tall and straight.”
“Let’s have a look at these two starting shapes. One of them belongs to
Harriet the Cow. Can you tell me which one?”

What movement would you show me if I held up this card?”
