Jim has more than 30 years of diverse experience in the engineering and construction
industry, including litigation support, expert witness testimony, claims avoidance and
resolution, forensic engineering, project and construction management, design, planning,
and scheduling. He has worked for owners, architects and engineers, construction managers,
and general and specialty contractors and he has been responsible for over 100 construction
disputes.
He has provided expert witness testimony in a variety of U.S. Federal and State courts, U.S.
arbitrations and mediations, and International Arbitration hearings. Disputes have involved
issues of defective design, construction means and methods, cost overruns, lost productivity,
and schedule delays and acceleration. His project experience includes numerous commercial
and industrial facilities, both domestic and international.

Ren has more than 40 years of engineering experience encompassing electrical engineering
design, construction support and consultation services, including litigation services, forensic
investigation, analysis and testimony. Ren’s academic experience is supplemented by
practical field experience as a construction manager and senior electrical inspector. His
expertise also includes project management and serving as expert witness.
Ren’s design and construction experience includes a range of project types involving
educational and industrial research facilities, healthcare environments, medical diagnostic
facilities, schools, churches, residential and hotel projects, airport and shipping facilities and
specialized projects such as aircraft apron lighting systems, runway lighting control systems,
marine terminal designs, aircraft and marine fueling facilities, manufacturing, hazardous
environments, clean rooms, biological hazard areas, and material recycling projects.
