St. John Byzantine Catholic Church
LYndoRA, PA

Ladies Guild Rummage Sale
The St. John Ladies Guild held their annual Rummage
Sale on Friday & Saturday, September 13-14. In
addition to gently used items the Guild sold ethnic
food, had a 50/50 raffle and even an auction on
Saturday. Thanks to the GCU for the additional income
through the Parish Matching Funds program.

Ascension Byzantine Catholic Church
cLAIRton, PA

Gently Used Pet Supply Collection
During the month of September, Ascension Church held
a pet supply drive for the Washington Area Humane
Society. Alex & Marianne Lassige helped sort and pack
up items for delivery. Some of the items collected
included: a pet carrier, food, leashes, towels, blankets,
cute outfits, litter, rabbit bedding, bowls and lots of toys
just to mention a few. The collection also qualified for
GCU Community Matching Funds. Thank you GCU for
helping to make this a success for the Humane Society.
