        Respectful Relationships
The College is committed to providing a safe and respectful environment for students, staff and
residents, and everyone has a part to play.

In 2025, the College is guided by State and Federal law as well as Intercollegiate policies which
        relate to:

        1. Sexual Harm Policy and Procedure

        2. Bullying, Victimisation and Discrimination Policy and Procedure

        3. Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy (including Engaging With Children and Young People Under
        18 Code of Conduct)

All students, staff, residents and guests must abide by these policies.

You can find out more, including how to get help and seek advice (anonymously, if you wish) at
JCH.MySafety.org.au and the University’s Speak Safely Portal https://unimelb.elker.com/report

        Where to get help:
The Dean of Studies, Bee Ellis, is the SAFE Coordinator.

All JCH Resident Tutors are also SAFE Contact people who are trained to respond to any issues
pertaining to sexual harm, bullying, victimisation and discrimination, and are happy to discuss any
issues with you or other students. Alternatively, you may wish to contact the external advisers:

UMSU Sexual Harm Response Coordinators umsu-shrc@union.unimelb.edu.au

The UMSU Sexual Harm Response Coordinators work for the Student Union and are independent
from the University and JCH. The service has two staff: one who is a qualified Social Worker and
another who is undertaking their degree in clinical psychology. Contacting our service can be a
good first step if you feel worried about contacting the University or other contacts listed.
