h) Lysosomes act as intracellular housekeepers. ' Lysosomes are "digestive
               bags" of the cells containing powerful enzymes.
               i)  The cytoskeleton provides shape and support to the cell.

               J) Centrioles play a role in cell reproduction. They are rod-shaped bodies that
               lie at right angles to each other.
               Cells projections
               a) Cilia are short, hairlike projections that move substances away, for
               example the ciliated cells of the respiratory system.


















               b ) Flagella are long, hairlike projections; the sperm has a flagellum that
               allows it to swim.
               c) Microvilli are projections used by the cell for absorption of substances.
               Example, the small intestines have these structures to absorb nutrients.
