작가노트(Artist's Note)

색채 형태 표현기법 등은 그동안 많은 미술가들에 의해 연구되었지만 자신만의 그림을 그리기는 쉬운 일이 아니다. 방향이 없는 삶은 아
무런 의미도 있을 수 없으며 그 방향 속에서만이 나의 삶이 가치가 있다. 자연은 풍부한 상상력의 원천이며 나의 생활의 터전이며 표현의
요소이다. 자연과 하나 되어 자연을 그리고 내면의 세계를 자연스럽게 작품으로 표현한다. 자연이란 참으로 인간 삶의 텃밭임을 환기시
키고 선택적인 아름다운 구도를 통해 자연과 인간이 만나는 그 접점으로서의 조형공간을 주시 한다.
요즘처럼 급변하는 첨단시대를 거스를 수 없는 현실로 생각하지만 난 오히려 자연으로 회귀하는 현상에 동조하며 자연경과의 사투로써
문명의 속도전에 일방적으로 편승되지 않는 장인적인 정신으로 파스텔이라는 매체를 통한 충실한 사생, 끊임없는 그리기의 반복으로 독
자적인 화풍을 만들어 가고자 한다.
Drawings and art pieces have always been studied by many — artists alike — by observing colors, forms, and the techniques
used as a medium of expression. But as an artist, it is not always easy to bring about ideas into fruition without inspiration
and a sense of direction.
To gain that sense of direction, I find that immersing myself in nature allows my creative juices to flow naturally. It permits
me to be more imaginative and creative. Nature reminds me that as a source of life, it unconsciously sets itself as an
incredible stage for art — bringing together all things so beautifully to create one great composition.
With the advent of technology and modern age, creating art digitally has significantly gained popularity. This has ironically
allowed me to embrace and appreciate the use of classic mediums more. Pastel, being one of them, has particularly
interested me. The rapidly changing era has also compelled me to continue honing my skills and return to nature to find
inspiration, so I could discover my own style and my own techniques using pastel
