Question # 4: What can I do if I witness a bullying incident? Do I step in and confront the
bully, or do I just look for an authority and tell on him?

Answer: You are advised to intervene safely:

          A. Direct Action. You can immediately call out the negative behavior of the bully and tell
him/her to stop. But, as much as possible, Do this as a group if you can. Do not aggravate
the situation and stick exactly to what happened.
          B. Distract. You interrupt the bully by starting a conversation with him/her to allow the bullied
to move away or have friends intervene. It is about redirecting the situation.
          C. Delegate. You can get someone else to step in if you are a bit afraid to do so. You can
make an immediate report either to your teacher, officer and any school administrator.
          D. Delay. If it is too dangerous based on your assessment, walk away first and let it subside,
               then make the necessary report.

Question # 5: What if we seek help from our teachers about being bullied but they didn't
        mind us?
Answer: Here the steps that you can do:

          A. Document the Bullying Incident
          B. Follow the Chain of Command as specified in the Anti-Bullying Program and Policies

Question # 6: Is walking away really the best way to end bullying? I really don't believe in
this since this has never helped me. I took matters into my own hands.

Answer: When confronted with bullying, different tactics work for different people, and
depending on how bad the bullying is, it can be worked out by yourself as a first step. The more
empowered you are the more you can help yourself so have the better chance to stop the bully.

If a bully doesn’t change their behavior, then you can make proper documentation and report
immediately the matter based on the stated chain of command.

Question # 7: If I saw someone being bullied, is it more important to document it or to
        step in?

Answer: It is best to assess the gravity of the bullying incident, if you feel empowered, you
could immediately put a stop to the bullying incident. If not, document the bullying incident and
make the necessary report to the proper authorities.
