Safe Campus Primer
2. Cyber-Bullying is any conduct defined in the preceding paragraph as resulti ng in
harassment, intimidation, or humiliation through electronic means or other technology, such
as, but not limited to texting, email, instant messaging, chatting, internet, social media,
online games, or other platforms or formats.
3. Scope and Coverage
The SGEN Safe Campus Primer is applicable to:
1. Bullying and/or abuse done to any student of the school, regular or sit-i n, from Tertiary to
Post-Graduate levels and perpetrated by a classmate or schoolmate including sit-ins, their
parents/guardians and/or the caregivers, drivers, and other relatives who represent them,
the management, faculty, staff, and maintenance and security personnel of the school, and
all guests and visitors who come to the school or those who are in the venue of an official
school activity outside the premises of the school.
2. All forms of bullying and/or abuse held at the following:
1. Any classroom, office, learning facility, or school grounds inside the campus
including the cafeteria, restrooms, stock rooms, and utility rooms;
2. Property immediately adjacent to the school grounds;
3. School-sponsored or school-related acti vities, functions, or programs whether on or
off school grounds
1. Bullying and/or abuse through the use of technology or an electronic
device or other forms of media owned, leased, or used by a school;
2. Bullying and/or abuse at a location, acti vity, function, or program that
is not school-related and through the use of technology or an
electronic device or other forms of media that is not owned , leased, or
used by the school; and
3. Retaliation against a person who reports bullying and/or abuse, who
provides information during an investigation of bullying and/or abuse,
or who is a witness to or has reliable information about the bullying
and/or abusive incident.
4. Bullying and/or abuse done by the smaller, the younger, the weaker,
who either use anonymous means to bully and/or abuse, such as
cyber-bullying, or overt means to bully and/or abuse, knowing that any
retaliation would make the provoked person look like they are the bully
and/or abuse.
