EXERCISE REGAIN – MANOR CCF

On 1st April 2022, Manor CCF set off to Galtres Training Area, Strensall, for a weekend of field craft and six section battle drills. The cold weather made the experience somewhat challenging, with temperatures of -3C at night. Fieldcraft training had been excellent however, and all cadets survived, keeping warm and dry under their bashas.
During the 3 day camp, we enjoyed weapon familiarisation for the youngest cadets, six section battle drills for those who had recently completed Weapon Handling Tests, navigation exercises and hand signal training. We were also treated to an outdoor projection of The Avengers and hot dogs as an evening treat (our SSI spoils us!). We look forward to using our skills at annual camp.
Manor CCF was set up 4 years ago under the Cadet Expansion Programme. It has gone from strength to strength and currently has 80 cadets and a waiting list. Many thanks to our fantastic Cadet Training Team at Strensall for all of their support.
