reimbursements. However, the negative area remains the response to telephone
queries. He recommended requesting assistance via e-mail.

There has been a drastic increase in fees of Geneva’s doctors. However, the
Association of Geneva’s Doctors have accepted the idea of an agreement.

Newcomer Peggy Brenet introduced herself. She advises everyone to verify their bills
            carefully.

With regard to long-term care, members are reminded that a new prescription is
required every 6 months unless specified for 12 months. For people with chronic
illnesses, the insurance company will be developing new approaches to limit the
            number of steps involved.

For non-medical transport costs, prior authorisation must be obtained. In the case of
home visits, transport costs are included within the limits of the treatment cover.

The ILO retirees' union pointed out that, in the WHO and ILO insurance schemes,
retirees are elected to participate in the management of the Funds.

With regard to prior authorisations, the list of treatments has been amended to 27 April
2023 and must be corrected on the website.

The cost of treatment when travelling, for example to the United States, is covered by
            UNSMIS.

For costs outside Switzerland, the insurance company has an agreement with another
third-party insurance company, which will pay the bills directly after UNSMIS’
authorization. An invoice is then sent to the insured to cover his or her share.

Information is available on the website on contacts by country in the event of an
            emergency.

With regard to costs in an EMS, the insurance only covers medical costs up to a
maximum of CHF 120 per day. The same applies to home help.

            PENSIONS

Alan Blythe, former Head of the Pension Fund’s Geneva Office and now Head of
Customer Services in New York, was present in Geneva and introduces Denise Gustin
            Gard ella.

The subject of support for pensioners is a major one for Rose marie McClean, who has
worked hard to put tutorials online on a number of topics of interest.

Access to the Palais: The Caisse is working on this issue.

Denise Gustin Gardella took the floor to introduce herself to the retirees. She has only
been in post for a few months. She thanked her team, and in particular Philippe Gay,
who assisted her with the presentations at the seminar.
