2.2 In the context of gender equality 'The United Nations General Assembly has
asked the Joint Committee to provide the necessary framework for the extension of the
guidelines to allow retroactive recognition of same-sex marriages in cases where
changes in national legislation have occurred after the separation of former participants,
if such recognition was not previously possible'.

2.3 Digital Life Certificate (DLC) is a "digital identity" solution, which has been a
founding element in the Fund's modernisation journey. For over 70 years, pensioners
and beneficiaries provided their proof of identity and entitlement to the Fund using
paper/manual processes, which were often affected by delays and exposed to potential
errors. With the DCE, the Fund has put in place a secure and reliable tool for digitally
identifying pensioners and beneficiaries, using cutting-edge technology (i.e. biometrics
and the block chain). A very high percentage of pensioners are using this electronic
means; more than 15,000 in the first three months of 2023, equivalent to the number of
CEs in the whole of 2022.

                                                      CLIMATE

                                                                                 By Odette FOUDRAL

2023 was the warmest year since records began.

We well and truly felt it, or rather felt it badly.

We are now being told that in 7 years we will have to make far more changes to our
lifestyles than over the last 30 years.

Who is going to suffer the consequences? You and me, but certainly not the polluting
big countries that only think about their growth.

If our reasoning stops there, it is clear that the battle for a world that is fit to live in is lost
               in advance.

Therefore, let us support the actions being taken near us to protect our world.
