A Work with a partner. Brainstorm customs that visitors often find confusing when they visit your
country, such as tipping, giving gifts, greeting people, arriving on time, and so on.
B Choose one custom from your list in exercise A. Then in your notebook, make a chart like the
one in exercise 1C. Write the basic “rules” for the custom.
3 WRITE two to three paragraphs explaining the custom to a visitor to your country. Use your
chart from exercise 2B and the text in help 1A to guide you.
