Expressions of Grace

An example of this transformation happened on the Mount
of Transfiguration when Jesus was changed at the place of
prayer (Matthew 17:1-2; Luke 9:27-29). The Bible says

“He was transfigured before [the disciples]”
and “His face shone like the sun, and His
clothes became as white as the light.” This
change is worked out by the Spirit of Grace, as
the recipient yields to the Lord.

Need I stress that this is the only change that grace produces
in the life of a believer, the internal change that manifests
outwardly and becomes evident to observers. This is
genuine change and is eternal. This is the change a believer
can experience when he/she yields to the authority and
Lordship of Jesus and His word. We must be changed. But it
must be a change into Christ-likeness; else, it is not
                               genuine.

                               7. Grace qualifies the unqualified.
Apostle Paul understood this work of grace. Given his
antecedent, he knew his apostleship was undeserved. His
testimony in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 and Galatians 1:13-16
                               was,
“For I am the least of the apostles, who am not
worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted
the church of God. But by the grace of God I am
what I am, and His grace toward me was not in
vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all,
yet not I, but the grace of God which was with
