GRACE, Exploring Its Riches

me....For you have heard of my former conduct in
Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God
beyond measure and tried to destroy it. And I
advanced in Judaism beyond many of my
contemporaries in my own nation, being more
exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my
fathers. But when it pleased God, who separated
me from my mother’s womb and called me
through His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I
might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not
immediately confer with flesh and blood.”

                               8. Grace Preserves
That grace preserves the believer is true, and has been so
even from Old Testament times. You would remember
Noah. While the rest of humanity perished in the Great
Flood, Noah and his household were spared and preserved
by grace. The account in Genesis 6:5-8 says,

“Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of
man was great in the earth, and that every intent
of the thoughts of his heart was only evil

continually. And the LORD was sorry that He
had made man on the earth, and He was grieved
in His heart. So the LORD said, I” will destroy
man whom I have created from the face of the
earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and
birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made
