GRACE, Exploring Its Riches
ife is a stage, a place for displaying great abilities; but
the abilities are not developed on the stage. They are
Ldisplayed there after being developed in the deserts.
In this chapter I want to show that while the believer is in
Christ and draws grace from Him, there is peculiar grace
for a specific assignment or destiny. God assigns every saint
the peculiar grace to display the uniqueness of his special
destiny in the world.
Features of Your Peculiar Grace
Your specific grace is your signature in the spirit by which
what is yours responds to you. It is like your master key.
Very few people come to the level of discovering,
developing and deploying the unique grace of God in their
lives because of the price to be paid to bring it forth in its
refined form. A careful study of the life of Jesus shows that
He had three forms of desert experience to cultivate the
three levels of grace that were in operation in His life: i)
Grace for Living, ii) Grace for Public Ministry, and iii)
Grace to Fulfil Destiny.
Desert or wilderness, as a place for cultivating grace, is a
figurative expression for the things a believer has to go
through in order for the unique and defining grace of his
special destiny to come forth. Deserts come in various
forms to various people. It is a season of our lives when we
are left alone to face life. It is a place of training, refining and
release.
