Peculiar Grace for Your Destiny

God uses the desert experience to stretch us, to
increase our capacity beyond our natural capacity. The
Scriptures say that flesh and blood cannot inherit the
Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50). This is simply
saying that to receive what God gives you, your
capacity has to be stretched and dredged beyond the
natural. To receive divine things our natural faculties
are limited, weak and corrupted. God uses the desert
to take our capacity beyond the natural in order to be
able to receive, comprehend and sustain divine
                                    interactions and deposits.

Take the case of Peter who became an apostle. He was a
struggling fisherman in the natural, but God started to
deal with him and train him. He dredged Peter’s
capacity and filled him with Himself until even the
leaders of his nation took notice of the difference Jesus
had made in his life. When the Council saw the
boldness of Peter and John and could see that they
were obviously uneducated fishermen, they were
amazed and realized what their being with Jesus had
done for them! (Acts 4:13, TLB).

                               4. No One Survives and Becomes Better at the
Desert without the Help of God: Moses could not
have lasted the whole 40 days he was on the mountain
in his strength alone. Notice that he came down from
that ‘desert’ with the glory of God all over his face and
had in hand the laws to govern God’s people in all their
                                    generations (Exodus 24:12-18; 34:29-35).
