Sinful Lifestyle in Leadership: There is a present wave
which has found its way into the church, a fad that does not
hold the believer responsible for his/her actions after
salvation; a fake claim that all sins a Christian commits:
past, present and future, have been paid for by the blood of
Jesus. This is a dangerous teaching and it endangers the
lives of those who embrace such erroneous teachings. Jude
1:3-4 warns,
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you
concerning our common salvation, I found it
necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend
earnestly for the faith which was once for all
delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept
in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for
this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the
grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only
Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Jude, an apostle, strongly and urgently warns of certain
ungodly men who have come within the ranks of the
leadership of the church. Such false leaders teach that the
grace of God grants the liberty to live in impunity and no
matter what one may do, so long one had confessed Jesus as
Lord. The New Living Translation renders verse 4 as,
“I say this because some ungodly people have
wormed their way into your churches, saying that
God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral
