The process of selecting a postcard was an interesting one. What attracts a person to one image rather than
another? Some teacher~researchers chose postcards of their own tree, others chose new ones. The ‘familiar’
seemed for some to be a strong attraction, a relationship already formed. Stories formed around the identity of the
feature, a “creature trapped…”. New words were created: an ‘’ezard” or “lizphant” [cross between an elephant and a
lizard]; “glummering”, “trunkular”...
