“When I close my eyes….”
The suggestion that hands may seek interesting experiences was
an unusual proposal and one that was generally accepted with
pleasure. With eyes closed, fingers found nooks and crannies,
smooth and rough surfaces.
Polysensorial perceptual encounters generated stories and mental
images - different in quality to those governed by visual
perception. Things~objects~materials bridge relations between
people in a shared, lived experience.
