2.1.4 Area 4: Registration of Trainee and Support Services
The approved training provider (ATP) has the criteria and mechanisms for registration of trainee and any other additional requirements. The criteria and mechanisms shall be published and disseminated. The ATP shall provide evidence that the trainees fulfil the entry requirement. The ATP should also provide information on the prerequisite knowledge and skills for trainee entry.
i. Entry Requirement
The ATP has indicate the prerequisites for enrolment into a training programme. Entry requirements ensure that qualified trainees benefit from the training programme. The entry requirements can comprise any qualification, years of work experience or prior knowledge and skills in a related training programme.
ii. CPD/CPE Points
The ATP has to indicate if the training programme provides any Contractor Continuous Development (CCD), continuous professional development (CPD) or continuing professional education (CPE) points or hours to trainees who have completed the training programme. The CCD points or hours affect the licensing requirements while CPD and CPE is defined as a structured approach to learning in order to ensure competence to
practice, keep skills current and gain practical experience. It also indicates
