the extent to which the training programme is recognised by the construction industry. The ATP should provide evidence that the training programme is awarded CCD/CPD/CPE points or hours by relevant bodies.
2.1.5 Area 5: Management of Trainers and Training Materials
The approved training provider (ATP) shall ensure all Trainers are accredited/recognised by CIDB. ATP should also maintain details of the trainers. These include qualification, subject matter expertise, memberships, awards and working experience. These details ensure that the trainers have the relevant qualification and experience to facilitate the training programme so that effective training can take place to achieve the training outcomes.
i. Evaluation of Trainers
The ATP shall develop and implement a system to evaluate the trainers periodically to confirm that trainers are capable of doing what is deemed important to the training programme in a given context. The processes and procedures involved in trainers evaluation are administratively feasible, professionally acceptable and reasonably accessible. It is possible to recognise and respect individual facilitation styles whilst validating the presence of critical evidence.
