education.
The GISS Governing Board, Management, Teaching and
Non-teaching Staff, Parents and Students are hereby
commended as their solidarity and teamwork gave
credence to the successful completion of Class 2019
graduating students of the School.
Grundtvig International Secondary School Oba, has
remained on top with her high quality education and state-
of-the-art infrastructural development. Today, GISS is
among the top schools in the country in WAEC ratings.
Several awards have been won by GISS for her
outstanding performance in external examinations. Some
of them include: outstanding Cambridge Learner Top in
Nigeria award with a GISS student scoring the highest in
English language; best School in Teaching methods for the
year 2018and outstanding Educational Performance
award from World Quality Alliance and Educare.
The school embarked on and completed a new hostel presently occupied by JSS1 students. The school
now has a modern kitchen donated by the PTA. The construction of an ultra-modern sports facility
with a standard football pitch is on-going and at an advanced stage of completion. These are all giant
strides achieved by Grundtvig International Secondary School, Oba.
To the 2019 Graduating Students, on behalf of the Parents and PTA Exco, I wish you the very best in
your future endeavors. Please don't give up. GISS has laid a solid foundation for you which should
enable you to stand tall amongst your contemporaries. The word of God in Proverbs 3:1-7 should be
your guide- “My Son, forget not my law, but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of
days and long life and peace shall they add unto thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: Bind them
about thy neck, write them upon the table of thine heart: So shall thou find favor and good
understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto
thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise
in thine own eyes: fear the LORD and depart from evil.”
May the good LORD keep and continue to provide for your parents so that they would continue to
support you to accomplish your destinies in Jesus name. Amen.
