challenges and apply confidence, character and enthusiasm to any problem. We believe a child
should emerge from school with strong self-esteem as well as excellent grades. He/she will
know how to collaborate, to lead, and to recognize the value of creativity, empathy, risk-taking
and perseverance.
This Yearbook provides a window through which we can see the highlights of 2018/19 academic
session. I am constantly inspired by the young people in this school, by their talents and
achievements in so many areas of endeavour: in academic work, in cultural activities, in arts, in
sport, and in leadership. Such a large and dynamic school has so many highlights that a single
publication such as this cannot do them justice. This Yearbook records snapshot, but a very
impressive snapshot, of what our pupils and students have achieved and what they have given
back to this community.
Thanks to all parents and families for your faith, trust, and commitment to the mission of
Blooms Schools. This was a very busy year and you, as partners in education, played a great role
in making it a success! We respect the sacrifices each family makes to send their children to
Blooms, and we will continue to put your child first in everything we do!
Next, thank you to the entire Blooms schools staff for your hard work, professionalism and
incredible dedication to nurturing children, academically and socially. The endless hours and
energy each of you expend in creating a learning environment that is student-centred, safe,
intellectually challenging, healthy, and fun, is greatly appreciated. Again, I would like to
acknowledge the outstanding leadership of Mr. John Ogungbenro in piloting and coordinating
the affairs of Blooms Schools. Thank you also to our support staff who
work tirelessly, often behind the scenes, to ensure that our school runs
smoothly and that staff and students are supported in their teaching and
learning.
I would like to pay tribute to everyone who has served the school so
faithfully this year. Many thanks to Mrs. Ife Alabi, Mrs. Elizabeth Chibiko,
Mr. Fred Daniel, members of the Yearbook committee and all who have
helped with the production of this Yearbook. They have done a fantastic
job and on behalf of the Senior Management Staff I want to say how
proud we are of the finished article. We really hope you enjoy it for many
years to come.
I wish all a restful and enjoyable end of year long vacation and look PETERCLAVER OKORIE
