we teach, we care

                                                                                            DEPARTMENT

                                 LET'S ALL SPEAK ONE LANGUAGE!

“That is not just possible!'' Someone thundered behind me as I was typing this article! But I
believe it is possible! Very possible! We can speak the language of love for others, instead of
         deep seated acrimony, the
         language of care, instead
         of neglect, Godly feelings
         for others, in place of
         abduction and ceaseless
         kidnapping, communal
         acceptance, the way it was
         when we were young,
when you could take a gift
         without greed, visit a
         neighbor without
         sponsored segmentation or
         hateful demeanour, and
         care about others, whether
         they were Kanuri, Fulani,
         Ishan, Ibo, Efik, Yoruba or
         Hausa!

         Are you still there?

         Nigeria is blessed with
different languages and cultures and we have unique ways of greeting and celebrating various
festivals. Why not let's extend all of these to our daily lives?

Let's rise beyond our altered images and rebuild, using the language of communal love, for the
sake of our children and their children after them. Let the world speak one language: the
language of oneness, one Nigeria! From Jos to Gombe, from Katsina to
the Plateau, from Kaduna to Ilorin and from Anambra to Bayelsa, let
the hatred stop! Inspire somebody! Don't say ,''He is not my brother!''
Live by choice and not by chance! Make changes! Be motivated! Save
         the future!

An old Indian Philosopher, Yash Vidya, said, ''There are hundreds of
languages in the world, but a smile speaks them all''.

Care about people. Let's build a new Nigeria.

Daalu! Imela! E se o! Nagode! Nobe! Agbaa! Ainyan! Msuugh!
         Thank you!
