                                                Bachelor of Science in Information Technology



                                                                                                   Level III Phase 2

               INSTRUCTION


                       The  BS Information Technology program includes the study of the utilization of both

               hardware  and  software  technologies  involving  planning,  installing,  customizing,  operating,
               managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides

               computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.
                       The  BSIT  program  was  offered  in  JHCSC  in  2011  prescribing  the  same  curriculum

               followed in the School of Engineering and Technology in Main Campus. A resolution confirming
               the request of JHCSC-Dumingag Campus for the change of Bachelor of Science in Computer

               Science  program  to  Bachelor  of  Science  in  Information  Technology.  The  curriculum  utilized

               undergo  series  of  enhancements  following  the  guidelines  for  curriculum  revisions  and
               development  will  be  the  bases  for  the  review,  approval  and  implementation  of  curricular

               revisions/innovations and offering of new programs in various campuses of the J.H. Cerilles State

               College (JHCSC) System.
                       The curriculum committee shall be enjoined to use the proposed guidelines as bases of

               actions in curricular adjustments, updates and offering of new programs.  This will ensure the
               application  of  uniform  standards,  processes  and  procedures  that  shall  guarantee  relevance,

               excellence and cost-effective higher education programs to the clienteles of JHCSC.


               WELL DEFINED OBJECTIVES


                       As per  CHED Memorandum Order No. 25 series of 2015, the Bachelor of Science in

               Information Technology program prepares graduates to:

                     address  various  user  needs  involving  the  selection,  development,  application,

                     integration and management of computing technologies within an organization.


                       The graduates are expected to become globally competent, innovative, and socially and

               ethically responsible computing professionals engaged in life-long learning endeavors.
