Chapter 4: The Road to Thought Leadership
1. Find your passion
Thought leaderships requires passion and focus. You will be far more effective if you
can identify the point where your interests, expertise, credibility and interest align.
This is your thought leadership intersection point, or Ikigai.
Does this sound familiar? It should, you encountered it in “The markers of a thought
leader” section earlier in this eBook. The Ikigai concept is aligned to and extends
Denise Brosseau’s diagram.
Ikigai (pronounced “eye-ka-guy”) is a Japanese concept that embodies “a reason for
being” and aims to balance the physical with the spiritual.
