will not break this drought God will not permit unre-
pentant men to escape judgment by simply mouthing
meaningless calls for relief . . . "For the rains he
sends are tokens of forgiveness" (Joel 2:23 LB).
Christian farmers will also be affected. Their land will
wither and dry, along with their unconverted neighbors'.
This thought will fall upon the just and the unjust.
Everyone's lifestyle will be affected. But, the angel of
the Lord will camp about those who fear Him, and God
will lift the burden of suffering from the backs of the
righteous. In the midst of the trial, God will appear as a
righteous supplier of every essential need. Good times,
easy-money times will vanish—but the true value of the
Christ-life will flourish. In the end, God's children will
survive and come forth having lost nothing of real mi-
portance and value.
The sinners among my people shake with fear.
"Which one of us," they cry, "can live here in the
presence of this all-consuming, Everlasting Fire?"
I will tell you who can live here: All who are hon-

who hold back their hands from taking bribes, who
refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut
their eyes to all enticement to do wrong. Such as
these shall dwell on high. The rocks of the moun-
tains will be their fortress of safety; food will be
supplied to them and they will have all the water
they need.
(Isaiah 33:14-16 LB)
3. Bankruptcies and Economic Chaos
". . . business has ground to a halt . . ." (Jeremiah
14:2 LB).
God will judge this nation with economic disasters. Crit-
