Tyme for Stitchin’ – Handmade Primitive Creations in East Tennessee
’ve been creating handmade dolls for many years, inspired by a lifelong I
love of traditional crafts and the rustic beauty of my surroundings. My family and I live in the mountains of East Tennessee, where my heritage deeply influences each piece.
My journey began at an early age with cross-stitching and needlework, nurtured by a creative household where both of my parents crafted primitive wood crafts. In my teen years, I taught tole painting classes in my parent’s craft store. Over the years, my passion grew to include a variety of handmade crafts, especially primitive-style dolls and snowmen. Each creation reflects my deep appreciation for the warmth and charm of old-fashioned, rustic design—always with a personal touch that brings joy to others.
In the past few years, my husband and I began participating in craft shows across the southeastern U.S., and we’ve loved seeing how people connect with the spirit of our work. Many of our pieces incorporate vintage handmade quilts, evoking cherished memories of our grandparents quilting by the fire on cold winter days.
Today, my husband Frank and I continue to create together, blending quality craftsmanship with timeless materials. We especially enjoy Once Again...
