cosmos and Man must live life in tune with this systematised order. In this context, the
following statement of an English writer is very appropriate.
"I sleep in peace and wake in joy And in Him, I live, move and have my being.''
So also, the essence of a psalm of revered Saint Tukaram in this context is very
instructive.
"The true religion of devotees of God, is in realising the truth, that God pervades
all over the universe. It is a sin to differentiate amongst human beings for any reason
whatsoever. Oh devotees of God, listen to my message if you desire to be blessed by
God, `Do not hate or harm others', is the essence of worship. Just as pain or pleasure
given to any part of human body is ultimately received by that Man only. Similarly pain
or pleasure given to others is eventually received by the all pervading God.''
Aspect of Human aspiration
Before we conclude, it seems necessary to deal briefly with an important aspect of
human aspiration. Normally, Man aspires to achieve the goal of realisation of God.
JEEVANVIDYA says that,
"God realisation is in experiencing the very existence of one's own Divinity within
by awakening the Divine Consciousness in the Heart. All other types of so-called God
realisation which common people commonly talk of, are nothing but only delusions,
illusions and hallucinations.''
Generally Man is under the impression that for realisation of God, he should
perform time consuming and costly rites and rituals or renounce worldly life totally,
perform severe practices of penance and labourious austerities. However, this is not true.
For the realisation of God, the devotee must adopt a systematic method as described
hereunder:-
1. Firstly, he must be steady minded, peaceful, contented and serene.
2. Secondly, instead of sitting merely with the eyes closed, he must distinctly
follow the process of looking inwards in the direction of God, who resides in
the heart, and visualise Him.
3. Thirdly, he must attempt to come into the orbit of God.
4. Lastly, as soon as he comes into the orbit of God, the devotee is attracted
to God by His divine force and becomes one with Him, just as a piece of iron
clings to the magnet, the moment it comes within the orbit of the magnet.
